For the third year, La Guarimba and GIPHY Arts join forces to give the BEST GIF AWARD 2022. On the occasion of the 10th Edition of La Guarimba International Film Festival, we will be celebrating creators who have been using GIFs as an art form to make us better express ourselves.
Do these three things before July 10th, 2022, and you will be eligible to win the award, a screening at the festival in Amantea, Southern Italy and a $500 prize.
You can tag as many GIFs as you’d like. Please note that your GIF might not immediately show in the search for the tag. If you have any questions, hit us up at info@laguarimba.com!

GIF CAMP!
During the days of the festival, from 7th to 11th August, we will host a creative camp for illustrators and animators.
On the first day we will show the different tools that GIPHY can offer, and from there, all the participants will have a physical space to draw, paint, scan, and animate their GIFs in a collaborative and fun way.
On the third day, we will mix the artists with the Children’s Lab so they can teach the youngest audience of the festival how to GIF. The results of this process will be screened on the last day of La Guarimba, on the 12th, and it will be part of a video recap.
Usually, animators and illustrators work from home or from a studio with not a lot of people. Our idea is to bring them to the open, in the sunny light of summer in Italy to create with other creatives and live a unique experience.
