A devastating earthquake has struck Venezuela. People are digging through the rubble with their bare hands to save their loved ones — because there are no tools, no rescue services, nothing.

The situation on the ground
The international airport is out of service. It is not possible to send materials from Europe. The only concrete way to help is to send money directly to those already there — people who are buying shovels, drills, gloves, and cutting equipment to pull survivors from the rubble.

How we will use the funds
All donations will go to two specific destinations:

• Local rescuers, to purchase rescue equipment
• Foundations for orphaned children, to protect the most vulnerable

Who we are
La Guarimba is a recognized Italian cultural organization with years of established activity. It was co-founded by Venezuelans living in Italy, who created the Caribe Atómico festival in Caracas. They have family and friends on the ground, as well as direct contacts with the people who are already helping.
We will track every euro donated and publish transparent updates on how the funds are used.
